Council officers recommend ECC relocation


In a report posted on the council website , officers have recommended that the ECC relocation be allowed to go ahead at Fairbairn Park. This is despite widespread community opposition to the proposal, and a petition submitted to council containing more than 1000 signatures opposing the move.

Although there has been a minor compromise of removing the fence around the main oval, issues such as extra use, increased amounts of space taken up by pavilions and traning nets, noise and traffic have not been addressed.
